Citizen Response: Re-Districting
The election of Lauren Boebert to represent Colorado's Congressional District 3 has resulted in a citizen response to find ways to right this embarrassment for our region. One issue is the possible re-districting of CD-3 in 2022.
A discussion on CD-3 re-districting, hosted by Bri Buentello will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 6 p.m.

Editorial: Sedition in CD-3
The two candidates for Chair of the Pueblo County Democratic Party have submitted letters to the Opinion page of the Pueblo Chieftain, calling for the removal of Rep. Lauren Boebert.
Editor:
I am calling on all Pueblo Democrats to work together to get our traitorous Congresswoman, Lauren Boebert, expelled from Congress.
As a long-time Democrat, I am disappointed that such an unqualified candidate has been elected to represent Pueblo in Congress. With her belief in debunked conspiracy theories, Boebert has embarrassed the entire state of Colorado, but especially the residents of Pueblo’s Congressional District (CD-3.)
I am calling for all Pueblo Democrats to unite -- liberals, moderates and conservatives -- to fight for the expulsion from Congress of this seditious traitor.
Democrat Joe Biden won Pueblo in the Nov. 5 Presidential election. Trump lost. To achieve this, all Pueblo Democrats had to work together.
We must do it again. Join me - help unite Democrats to ensure that we are represented by someone who believes that elections matter -- someone whose actions demonstrate that she truly believes in Democracy and the U.S. Constitution.
Mike Schuster
To the editor:
In her first official speech at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, as violent insurrectionists seized the House and Senate Chambers for the first time in United States History, Representa!ve Lauren Boebert left no doubt as to who her allegiance belonged to. Referring to the incident as 1776 (Independence Day) and statng that the people riotng outside were “her people.” This recently awarded GED recipient and apparent Constitutional Scholar was unaffected by the calls for the execution of Nancy Pelosi and Mike Pence. Her behavior was as predicted embarrassing and seditious. She is a vapid side show freak enjoying but not understanding the seriousness of her behavior. She should resign immediately and the Colorado Republicans who supported and funded her campaign should without qualifcation denounce her continuation as Representative for the Third Congressional District.

One of us – a Pueblo Democrat – went to Denver on Monday, December 14 as a member of the Colorado Electoral College.
Pueblo Democrat Tory (last name withheld for safety) voted for Biden/Harris, along with the other 8 Colorado Electors – as they had all promised.
“As I was signing, I became emotional because it was such a release of stress. I was thinking about the election. It was finally over – it was such a relief,” Tory said
On Monday all 9 Electors were sworn in by Colorado Chief Justice Nathan B. Coats on the First Floor of the Colorado State Capitol Building. All state offices were closed to ensure the safety of the Electors.
Following the vote, each elector had to sign 6 official copies of the ballot. Two will be sent to the US Senate, which will officially announce the national count of the Electoral College on Jan. 6, 2021. CNN reported tonight that the national electoral vote total is: 306 for Biden / 232 for Trump.
The Colorado Electors applauded & cheered after Secretary of State Jena Griswold announced Colorado’s 9-vote total for Biden & Harris.
