Howdy, Colorado Democrats!

We hope you all had a fun and safe Labor Day weekend earlier this month! Your 2024 DNC Delegation represented Colorado well with their excitement and energy at the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago to nominate Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to our winning ticket this November!

Every morning, we started with plenty of coffee, eggs, and hashbrowns and guest speakers to energize us for the work ahead. We welcomed folks like the Honorable Deb Haaland, Senator Catherine Cortez-Masto, Officer Harry Dunn, and our incredible members of the federal delegation to inspire us for the day, and we also invited folks who challenged our perspectives, like pollster Frank Luntz.

Each day, delegates did the hard work of the Party by attending caucus meetings and receptions, and then were treated to the evening’s speeches at the United Center. Colorado had some of the best seats in the House, and our delegation ROCKED the roll call by being, in our own opinion, the loudest state in the arena – so loud, in fact, that Chair Murib couldn’t hear Secretary Rae and had to watch the screens for his mouth to stop moving to know when to cue us in to cast our votes for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. We had an incredible time and lifelong friendships and partnerships were made between Democrats from across the state.

Are you interested in getting more involved to GET OUT THE VOTE for our Democratic candidates up and down the ballot in this crucial election? Colorado Green Wave:
We have kicked off our Colorado Green Wave, a program funded with a $100,000 State Party Innovation Fund grant to hire organizers on college campuses with a focus on rural areas. These organizers will share the Democratic Party’s commitment to fighting climate change and protecting public lands with college students.

We’re actively hiring organizers: apply HERE or send the job description to someone who would be a great fit!

The Challengers:
Candidates running in tough-to-win districts often get less support than battleground districts, and that’s something we’re aiming to fix with our Challengers program.

The Colorado Democratic Party has adopted candidates running to flip red districts running in tough-to-win districts, providing them weekly support calls to hit their financial and field goals, staff assistance on fundraising and political initiatives, and we’ve also provided a how-to-run-for-office manual that can kick start competitive campaigns. These races too often go ignored, and we’re excited to be providing these talented and hardworking candidates with full support from our Party.

Check out and share new job opportunities with the Colorado Democratic Party found on our website here

Coordinated Campaign:
We’re hiring and scaling up for our coordinated campaign this fall! Keep an eye out for updates on a big campaign we’re planning for this election in coordination with the Vice President, our Congressional delegation, and our candidates in counties and districts we’re going to flip from red to blue!

Colorado County Comeback
We are sending out a second wave of Colorado County Comeback grants to more counties! This critical funding source helps expand voter outreach efforts and digital/traditional advertising across the state, and is our first-ever dedicated program to winning county-level races.

Please share and join us! Dear Friends, Are you all basking in the exciting energy of the Democratic National Convention this past month?  I knew Kamala Harris and Tim Walz would set the Democrats on fire but it was more than that, it was hope and we all know America will rise. It now is officially “campaign season”, so we are working at everything to keep us going for our November win.  We have so many things that we need to “blow this Win out of the water”.  My idea to take us to the finish line are six actions to have the Democrats doing all the right stuff to win up and down the ballot.  If we all do at least one of the following things we will find those voters that we might have missed contacting.  Please reach out to us to be part of this important time in our history.
