Mail-In Ballots & Video Nominatons Replaced the
Pueblo County Assembly & Convention This Year

MAIL-IN BALLOTS: Due to the Coronavirus, the Pueblo County Democratic Assembly & Convention was replaced by a Mail-in Ballot. Ballots were sent to all Democrats who were elected at Caucus to be delegates to the County Assembly & Convention.

VIDEOS: To help delegates fill out their ballot, videos were created and sent in by the candidates. To see a video, click on the candidate's photo.

  • • We posted campaign videos for U.S. Senate candidates here. Videos for U.S. Congressional (CD-3) candidates appear in the Multi-County Districts section below.
  • • Instead of the usual speeches from the floor of the Assembly, we also posted nominating, seconding and acceptance videos for state and local candidates, including House District 46, District Attorney, and two (2) County Commissioner seats.

29 RESOLUTIONS: Finally, delegates received a ballot to vote on the 29 Resolutions proposed at our Caucuses.

Online Voting Replaced the Multi-County
Districts Assembly and Convention

Pueblo County is part of 3 multi-county districts:
State House District 47 - Running for re-election is Democrat Bri Buentello.
State House District 62 - Running are Democrats Don Valdez (incumbent) & Matt Martinez.
State Senate District 35 - Democrat Carlos López is running for this open seat.

Multi-counties Districts had to adjust their Assembly dates due to the Coronavirus. They did not hold in-person meetings. Instead, they held E-VOTING with a CALL-IN vote option using Survey Monkey.

Congressional Districts voted via Electronic Ballots

Pueblo County is part of CD-3, a huge US Congressional District in Colorado. The seat is currently held by a Republican, but three Democrats are running for a chance to unseat him by getting on the Primary ballot. They are:

• Diane Mitsch Bush    • James Iacino   • Root Routledge
