Pueblo Democrats Called
on to Make Face Masks

Hello Democrats, Can You Sew? If Yes, Please Join Us.

To help fight the coronavirus, Pueblo Democrats would like its members to make 1,000 (or so) cloth face masks.

Pueblo Dems will provide all the materials, and deliver them to you. We will also collect your finished masks.

When the masks are ready, we will set up a drive-by mask-pickup at Democratic Party HQ. We will give out 2 masks per car. To see how to make a simple mask, click on HOW-TO VIDEO.

Democratic "Masketeers" Have
Answered the Call — Twice!

A group of dedicated Democrats have labored over their cutting tables and sewing machines to respond to a critical community need. They produced over 500 face masks and delivered them in a drive-by at Democratic Headquarters on Thursday, April 23.

At Thursday's drive-by the Masketeers learned that there was a further need. The Pueblo Police Department had a shortage of masks, so Masketeer Bernice Henrickson stepped up and produced an additional 150 masks. Photos of the presentation may be viewed at the end of the photo gallery below.

And who are these "Masketeers" of whom we speak? Here they are:

 Look What Democrat
Sharon Stealey is Doing ...

In memory of her husband, Wally Stealey, Sharon Stealey is donating a “Pocket Park” at 301 S. Union Ave. to the City of Pueblo. The site — at the corner of Union and C streets — is the former Branch Inn, which was destroyed by a gas explosion in 2008.

Though still a work in progress, a statue of a cowboy riding a rearing horse has already been installed in the new park, plus plants, trees and a winding path. A plaque on the base of the statue honors Wally as a cowboy, Marine, and politician. He died Oct. 7, 2017.

A Dedication Ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Park.

Democrats March in the State Fair Parade

Democrats formed a long Blue Wave when they marched in the State Fair Parade on Aug. 24. They wore their colors, brought their signs, and waved as they passed the Pueblo crowd. Since the parade, volunteers have manned the Democratic Booth each day on the 2nd floor of the "Ag" Building in the State Fair.
